I am a conscious citizen and I was thinking about the oil price in international market and the oil price in Bangladesh. I should say that the government by reducing the oil price only by Tk. 2 to 3 per litre has played mockery with the people of Bangladesh. When the price of crude oil in the international market was $90 per barrel the Octane price in Bangladesh was Tk. 80.00 per litre and at that time Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation was not making any loss. Now if Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation sales Octane at Tk 50.00 per litre it will not incur any loss. Then on whose directives the government has been playing mockery with the people of Bangladesh.
As far we know, Petrobangla already has a lot of losses in pocket. It seems they are now trying to recover it. Also government of Bangladesh giving subsidies on diesel for farmer as they use diesel to water in field.
