GMail, World's Leading Emailing System Developed by Google. I Like GMail for various reasons. No way to describe it here. Just giving you ten of reason, why I like GMail:
Creation of filters, searching of e-mails, selection of e-mails is much quick and fast in GMail as compared to any other email service. It loads up faster than Yahoo mail beta and Windows Live Hotmail, as it is mostly text based and hardly uses any images.
Reason one, The Skin or Interface: I think, that this is one of the best part of GMail, because the color combination (largely blue) which has been used in GMail is soothing to eyes. You don't get blind even after looking at it for long duration. As far as Web 2.0 effects are concerned, then I think that it makes use of Keyboard shortcuts, quick compose window, attachment on the fly, auto save etc etc. And these do come in the Web 2.0 effects.
Reason Two, Labels instead of Folders: Yes, I know, to be honest, there is no BIG deal with these two things.
If you apply a label but didn't archive that email, then you'll not feel the difference between the two.
A little question for you, can you put same email in two folder together in other email system? ;)
Reason Three, Who needs Drag and drop ?: People told me that Yahoo Beta is having a very nice system of Drag and Drop on their Email Interface. Well, the good use of shortcuts will ensure that you won't miss the drag and drop facility. You can get the list of shortcuts from here. If you press the # key then you'll be able to delete the email too.
Reason Four, POP and SMTP access: SMTP Access, the exclusive free access of world. Give me one Free Email Service provider, who will give you 'SMTP' access for free?! People who are on move know how value carry one 'SMTP' access on an unknown / public access. More thing is here, the POP and SMTP service of Gmail is 'secure connection'. It called 'POPs' & 'SMTPs' . Will talk about the POPs and SMTPs later.
Reason Five, Support for other accounts: You have more then one email account? Your Home ISP's Email account or Office's Email account ? Don't wary, GMail, allows you to display that you've sent an email from a completely different email address, however all the time you use GMail only. I maintain more then 10 different email accounts from one GMail account! Now, that productive!
Reason Six, Integration of Google Talk: Your GMail interface come with built-in 'Chat' software. You can now talk with your friends, family or business partner directly GMail if they are online too on that time.
Reason Seven, No obtrusive or banner ads: GMail makes use of adsense and that too they are on the extreme right hand side and really don't bother much but if you see other email services you'll see Banner ads, flash based ads which take time to load and are always distracting.
Reason Eight, Integration of Google Office Suite: When you are on move, using public computer, even it is a Linux GUI terminal, your accounts department sent you a attachment of MS Excel Spreadsheets or a Presentations from your office collages which you need to edit and give a Presentation tomorrow morning right after you flight. Google Office Suite is here to see, edit even create a completely new office document right inside your Gmail Interface!
Reason Nine, Spam less Email Inbox ! : GMail has got the best spam filter amongst all the email services and everyone will agree to me on that. It get very less false positives and hardly any spam email gets through in your Inbox.
Reason Ten, UNDO Feature: When you know, your action can be Undone, why don't you try to move, delete your email inside your GMail Interface. I like the UNDO feature a lot, just in case you get to do something stupid and delete an important email, then you can simply go and press the UNDO button and it shows you the email back in place!
When you have 2.6GB++ of Email Storage, FREE! Why you wary about deleting the email? Rush now, have a new email address from http://www.gmail.com/. I am sure, you will not unhappy.
